(Asharq Al-Awsat-UK) Gen. Javad Ghaffari, deputy head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization, has led the failed Iranian plots to kill Israelis in Turkey over the past nine months, a former senior IRGC official told Iran International, a UK-based Persian language television station. Ghaffari had been the commander of Iranian forces in Aleppo, Syria, where he became known as the "Butcher of Aleppo."
