(Ha'aretz) Avi Scharf - A Ha'aretz investigation shows that Israel's gas-drilling rig, stationed in the Karish gas field west of Haifa last week, is 10 km. south of Lebanon's self-defined maritime border and is not in the area Lebanon claims. Diplomatic and defense sources told Ha'aretz that the rig was placed in an area that was never controversial, and that Lebanese officials involved in the negotiations have confirmed this.
