Israel Concerned Over $400 Million U.S.-Lebanon Arms Deal

[Ha'aretz ] Barak Ravid - Israel is reportedly attempting to block a $400 million arms deal between the U.S. and Lebanon that would include hundreds of anti-tank missiles. Israeli authorities have stated that Hizbullah's resurgence in southern Lebanon has led them to believe that the arms transfer could pose a security threat if the arms fell into the hands of Hizbullah. The Head of the Defense Ministry's Diplomatic-Security Bureau, Amos Gilad, has reportedly held talks recently with officials from the Pentagon in order to convey Israeli reservations about the deal.
