South Korea Pays Iran's UN Dues with $18 Million in Frozen Funds

(Reuters) Iran is to regain its vote in the UN General Assembly after South Korea paid Tehran's $18 million in delinquent dues with frozen Iranian funds, South Korea said on Sunday. Release of Iran's frozen funds requires the approval of the U.S. Tehran has demanded the release of $7 billion of its funds frozen in South Korean banks under U.S. sanctions.
