Israel's Beresheet Lunar Lander Moves into Moon Orbit

(New York Times) Kenneth Chang - The Israeli spacecraft Beresheet has completed maneuvers to go into orbit around the moon. On Thursday, the spacecraft fired its engines for six minutes, slowing down enough to be captured by the moon's gravity. Moon orbit has only been accomplished by five nations - the U.S., the former Soviet Union, China, Japan and India - and the European Space Agency. Landing is scheduled for April 11.
