(Times of Israel) Avi Issacharoff - Pro-Iran Shiite militias have fought Syrian army forces several times over the last two weeks near Al-Bukamal, next to the Al-Qa'im border crossing between Syria and Iraq. It is likely part of the Iranian effort to gain control of the key border crossing.
