Turkish Lawyers Seek Arrest of U.S. Officers at Incirlik Air Base

(Stars and Stripes) Will Morris - A group of pro-government lawyers in Turkey has filed charges against several U.S. officers at Incirlik Air Base, seeking their arrest for alleged ties to Fethullah Gulen, a Muslim religious leader living in the U.S. that the Turkish government says is responsible for a 2016 coup attempt. The group is a well-known NGO that backs Turkish President Erdogan. The criminal complaint also names Gen. Joseph Votel, commander of the U.S. Central Command.
