(Jerusalem Post) Herb Keinon - Paraguayan President Horacio Cartes opened his country's embassy in Jerusalem on Monday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the event "a great day for Israel, a great day for Paraguay." Netanyahu recalled that Paraguay helped Jews escape Nazi Germany both before and during the Holocaust. Paraguay also supported the establishment of Israel during the partition vote in the UN in 1947.
