More than Half a Million People Killed in Syrian Civil War

(Reuters) The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Monday that about 511,000 people had been killed in the Syrian civil war since 2011. The Observatory has identified by name more than 350,000 of those killed. About 85% of the dead were civilians killed by the forces of the Syrian government and its allies.
