(VOA News) Jeff Seldin - The State Department announced it has placed Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, on its terrorist list as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT). The U.S. already lists Hamas as a terrorist organization. The U.S. also designated the Iranian-backed terrorist group Harakat al-Sabireen that operates in Gaza and the West Bank.
