231 Immigrants from Two "Lost Tribes" Arrive in Israel

(Times of Israel) Members of two "lost tribes" - 162 people from India's Bnei Menashe and 69 from Ethiopia, reputedly descendants of the Tribe of Dan - arrived in Israel Thursday to reunite with family members and make new lives in the country. Some 1,700 Bnei Menashe have settled in Israel over the past 15 years, with a further 7,000 waiting to immigrate.
