Netanyahu, Macron Pay Tribute to Jewish WWII Deportees in Paris

(Jerusalem Post) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and French President Emmanuel Macron participated in a commemoration ceremony on Sunday in Paris honoring the memory of French Jews who were deported from the French capital during World War II, 75 years ago. The July 1942 Vel' d'Hiv roundup is named after the stadium in which Nazi-led forces held the majority of those arrested ahead of their deportation to Auschwitz. Over 13,000 Paris Jews were arrested and deported to their deaths.
