Ramallah Has Luxury Hotels, But Struggles to Lure Tourists

(Times of Israel) Dov Lieber - The Palestinian city of Ramallah, just north of Jerusalem, has grown in recent years into a modern, bustling metropolis, and is a window into the political, cultural and social lives of the Palestinian people. Three five-star hotels have opened in the past decade, with another on the way. But according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the occupancy rate hovers at just 27%.
