Teaching Palestinian Children to Value Terrorism

(Council on Foreign Relations) Elliott Abrams - Peace between Israel and the Palestinians does not, fundamentally, depend on who is doing the negotiating or how skilled they are. Fundamentally it depends on the desire for peace. A new study of Palestinian textbooks finds that they are significantly more radical than previous ones, teaching students to be martyrs and demonizing Israel. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be in Washington this week. The teaching and glorification of terrorism and violence should be at the top of the agenda with him.
