(Jerusalem Post) Yaakov Katz - The Arrow missile system was originally designed to intercept enemy ballistic missiles on their way to Israel outside the atmosphere - as far way as possible. The Arrow apparently can now be used against shorter-range surface-to-air missiles as well.
