Syrian War, Hizbullah Present New Set of Threats

(Ha'aretz) Amos Harel - Syrian President Bashar Assad has repeatedly attempted to transfer advanced weaponry to Hizbullah despite Israel's warnings (which, according to officials in Washington, Israel has enforced with at least six air strikes on Syria this year). Moreover, thanks to its involvement in Syria's war, Hizbullah has upgraded its capabilities, though it is thought to have suffered more than 250 fatalities and about 1,000 wounded in Syria. Hizbullah is gaining experience in urban warfare and in launching offensives. In the battle of Qusayr in June, Hizbullah operated Syrian tanks, used drones, made sophisticated use of intelligence, and conducted coordinated maneuvers at the company level (roughly 100-200 soldiers) and even higher.
