Nigeria Discovers Hizbullah Arms Cache

(AP-Washington Post) Nigerian soldiers uncovered a hidden arms cache in Kano in northern Nigeria that authorities believe belonged to members of Lebanese Shiite Muslim Hizbullah, the military and secret police said Thursday. The arms, shown on Nigerian television, included rocket-propelled grenades, land mines, hand grenades, and assault rifles. "The arms and ammunition were targeted at facilities of Israel and Western interests in Nigeria," a military statement said. It said three Lebanese men had been arrested, including one caught trying to board a flight to Beirut carrying $60,000 in cash.
