(Agence France-Presse) Israel "must sooner or later get rid of the threat posed by the rockets in the hands of Hizballah," a senior Israeli army officer said Saturday on army radio. The prospect of a U.S.-led war against Iraq "will create a new situation in the Middle East" that could allow Israel to take action against the missile threat, he added. The official said Syria's Scud D missiles, capable of striking Israel, were also a threat.
