(New York Times) Steven Lee Myers - Many Arabs are unconvinced that a war against Iraq would bring stability, let alone democracy. On the contrary, those interviewed said the forcible overthrow of Iraq's dictatorship would unleash a fury of anti-American sentiment, especially among fundamentalist Islamic forces, resulting in new crackdowns that would stifle democratic changes.
