Libyan Rebels Say Gaddafi Son Killed in NATO Strike

(VOA News) Libyan rebels say a NATO airstrike has killed Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi's son Khamis and more than 30 other people in the western town of Zlitan, a rebel spokesman said Friday. There was no independent confirmation. Khamis Gaddafi has served as one of the main commanders of his father's military forces. [The New York Times reported on March 29: Gaddafi evidently trusted only two militias - with a total of about 10,000 men - to deploy against the rebels, said Henry Boyd, an analyst at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London.
