Tel Aviv University Researchers Use LED Lighting and Solar Energy to Produce Clean Water

(Jerusalem Post) Tel Aviv University researchers have developed a patented technology that uses LED lighting and solar energy to disinfect water. The laptop-sized SoLED device operates without any chemicals or electricity to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses from water. Prof. Hadas Mamane heads the team at the university's Water-Energy Lab that developed the device.
