Israel Bonds Launches Alternative BDS Campaign: Bonds Donated to Schools
(Jerusalem Post) Izzy Tapoohi - Israel Bonds has launched a new campaign: The Alternative BDS - Bonds Donated to Schools. The campaign asks friends of Israel to fight BDS on campus by making donations of Israel Bonds to the school of their choice. Because the university must hold the bonds until maturity, this precludes divestment. Because proceeds from the bonds help build every sector of Israel's economy, it is a direct repudiation of the movement's goal of damaging the country financially. Israel Bonds sales in the U.S. have exceeded over $1 billion in each of the past three years. The writer is president and CEO of Israel Bonds.
