(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh, Herb Keinon, Janine Zacharia - Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's office responded to Abbas's resignation Saturday by saying Israel will not accept a situation where the PA is controlled by Arafat or someone who does his bidding. One senior diplomatic official said if Abbas does indeed leave the scene, he will be taking the road map with him, since Israel signed on to this plan with the understanding that Abbas would be the partner, not Arafat.
